Author Instructions

International Research Journal of Sciences & Engineering (IRJSE) publish research papers, case studies and short communications containing original research work of good standard and review papers of contemporary relevance from all over the world.

Following types of contributions are considered for publication:

  1. RESEARCH PAPERS (Full Length - Maximum of 12 pages-A/4 size).
  2. CASE STUDIES
  3. SHORT COMMUNICATIONS
  4. REVIEW PAPERS including Mini Reviews

Manuscripts should be submitted online as a Microsoft Word file in a single column format on our website through the submission portal. The manuscript should be in English in Times New Roman (font size 12, space 1.5).

Once the manuscript is submitted online on our website, our editorial team will do an initial assessment of the submitted manuscript to ascertain its eligibility to be sent for review. If the decision is to send the manuscript for review, you will receive a follow-up email with the invoice and a payment link to pay the processing fee. Please see that the manuscript will not be sent for review until the processing fee is paid. It may be noted that the processing fee does not guarantee the acceptance of the manuscript. It will be non-refundable, even if the manuscript is not accepted. 

AUTHORISATION AND DECLARATION

Authors must accept full responsibility for the content of their articles. The Members of the Editorial Board and the Publisher of the journal are not responsible for the statements and opinions expressed by the authors in their articles/write-up published in the journal. To use the copyrighted material (for example table, figure etc.), the author/s must seek the permission from the Author/s and Publisher of the material and send the copy of the permission letters via e-mail to the Administrative Editor for records. In case, if it is not possible than do not use that material.

While submitting the paper the author (s) must give a declaration that 'the article has not been published or sent for publication elsewhere'.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MANUSCRIPT-FORMAT

a) Page Layout: A4 (21cm by 28 cm) leaving 2 cm margin on all sides of the text. All the text should be single spaced and the pages should be numbered consecutively.

b) Use MS word (2003-2007) for text and TIFF, JPEG or Paint for figures.

c) The first page should contain:

Title

The title is written in title case, centred, and in 16 point bold Times New Roman font at the top of page.

The title should be concise, omitting terms that are implicit and, where possible, be a statement of the main result or conclusion presented in the manuscript. Abbreviations should be avoided within the title. Witty or creative titles are welcome, but only if relevant and within measure. Consider if a title meant to be thought-provoking might be misinterpreted as offensive or alarming. In extreme cases, the editorial office may veto a title and propose an alternative. Authors should try to avoid, if possible:

Titles that are a mere question without giving the answer.

Unambitious titles, for example starting with "Towards", "A description of", "A characterization of", "Preliminary study on". Vague titles, for example starting with "Role of...", "Link between...", "Effect of..." that do not specify the role, link, or effect. Include terms that are out of place, for example the taxonomic affiliation apart from species name.

Authors and Affiliations

All names are listed together and separated by commas. Provide exact and correct author names as these will be indexed in official archives.

Affiliations should be keyed to the author's name with superscript numbers and be listed as follows: Laboratory, Institute, Department, Organization, City, State abbreviation (USA, Canada, Australia), and Country (without detailed address information such as city zip codes or street names).

Example: Chavhan Arvind, Department of Zoology, Intitute of Science, RT Road, Nagpur, MS, India.

The Corresponding Author(s) should be marked with an asterisk. Provide the exact contact email address of the corresponding author(s) in a separate section.

If any authors wish to include a change of address, list the present address(es) below the correspondence details using a unique superscript symbol keyed to the author(s) in the author list.

Abstract

As a primary goal, the abstract should render the general significance and conceptual advance of the work clearly accessible to a broad readership. In the abstract, minimize the use of abbreviations and do not cite references. The text of the abstract section should be in 10 point normal Times New Roman. See Summary Table for abstract requirement and length according to article type

Keywords

All article types: you may provide up to 8 keywords; at least 5 are mandatory

d) Main Text-The paper should be divided into the following sections: Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgement and References. Tables and Figures of good resolution (300 dpi) should be numbered consecutively in the order of their appearance in the text.

e) Reference style

All citations in the text, figures or tables must be in the reference list and vice-versa. The references should only include articles that are published or accepted. Data sets that have been deposited to an online repository should be included in the reference list, include the version and unique identifier when available. For accepted but unpublished works use "in press" instead of page numbers. Unpublished data, submitted manuscripts, or personal communications should be cited within the text only, for the article types that allow such inclusions. Personal communications should be documented by a letter of permission. Website urls should be included as footnotes. Any inclusion of verbatim text must be contained in quotation marks and clearly reference the original source. Preprints can be cited as long as a DOI or archive URL is available, and the citation clearly mentions that the contribution is a preprint. If a peer-reviewed journal publication for the same preprint exists, the official journal publication is the preferred source.

The following formatting styles are meant as a guide, as long as the full citation is complete and clear, IRJSE referencing style will be applied during typesetting.

Reference list: provide the names of the first six authors followed by et al. and doi when available. In-text citations should be numbered consecutively in order of appearance in the text identified by Arabic numerals in the parenthesis for Health articles, and in square brackets.

As a minimum, the full URL should be given and the date when the reference was last accessed. Any further information, if known (DOI, author names, dates, reference to a source publication, etc.), should also be given. Web references can be listed separately (e.g., after the reference list) under a different heading if desired, or can be included in the reference list.

Supplementary Material

Supplementary Material should be uploaded separately on submission, if there are Supplementary Figures, please include the caption in the same file as the figure. Supplementary Material templates can be found in the Frontiers Word Templates file.

ACCEPTANCE

When we receive the paper along with "Declaration of Authors" and either membership subscription or processing fees, we will send your paper to two experts for comments anywhere in the world.

After acceptance by both the experts, we will try our best to inform you regarding acceptance within one month. If it is accepted, we will send you acceptance letter and your paper will be published at earliest in coming issues. If your paper is rejected, you can submit to other journal with our prior permission. Please note that your membership subscription or processing fees will not be refunded in any case whether your paper is rejected or accepted.

ARTICLE PROCESSING Charges

The Article-Processing Charge of Open Access is Rs.3000/- for India and 250 USD($) for Overseas.

This covers the cost of peer-review, editorial, publishing, hosting, and archiving expenses.

International Research Journal of Sciences and Engineering is an Open Access journal. Open access allows all interested readers to view, download, print, and redistribute any article without a subscription, enabling far greater distribution of an author's work than the traditional subscription-based publishing model. Many authors in a variety of fields have begun to realize the benefits that open access publishing can provide in terms of increasing the impact of their work. In an open access model, the publication costs of an article are paid from an author's research budget, or by their supporting institution, in the form of Article Processing Charges. These Article Processing Charges replace subscription charges and allow publishers to make the full-text of every published article freely available to all interested readers.

PROOFS

Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author via e-mail as an Acrobat PDF (Portable Document Format) which should be returned to the Editorial office within 5 working days.
